News Article : What is RunThatTrack?
Published: 01/03/2016 by : Simon Morillas

The RunThatTrack concept was conceived over a few drinks at a bar during the 2009 season. Several events and bars later the idea had fully taken hold and grown into a world of its own. The idea was simple, take the simply peaceful and individual activity of running around the F1 tracks to a ridiculously crazy and completely over the top F1 level where competition and performance could be scrutinised and analysed (and strange conclusions drawn) by people who really should be doing other things.

Originally developed as bit of a prank, the popularity soon took off throughout 2010 and the site soon developed characters and a personality of its own. The concept of the site is simple, if you're a member of the F1 community (i.e you carry a Bernie pass around the world), and you run the track during an F1 event, you can submit your lap time to the runthattrack.info website; for each submission you make our fantastic friends at UBS will make a charitable donation on your behalf.

To learn more about what we do and how the site has grown and evolved visit the About Us page here. If you are new to the site and would like more information to sign up and get involved (it's free) you can visit this page here.
