Hello all, just a quick blog to look back on Abu Dhabi and the season, as well as thank a few people. But first, a bit about Abu Dhabi…

Abu Dhabi played host to the final Group Run of 2014, and what a great way to end the season. A warm and not surprisingly dry event saw over 280 lap submissions, one of our best turnouts yet!

Post Group Run we held our annual Awards Ceremony, with a big thanks to UBS for organising the evening and to David Croft for hosting.

Congrats to all our champions for 2014. Once again it was down to the wire for most of the Constructors’ categories, with Marussia, Mercedes and McLaren fighting it out for the top positions.

For those who missed the Group Run or the evening (Red Bull gives you flexi wings?), the Abu Dhabi photo gallery is now online. As always, if you'd like some higher resolution copies for personal use drop me an email and I will get them to you.

Looking back over the year, we have hit some amazing milestones. This year thanks to the generous support of UBS, as a running group we raised $275,000 for Make-A-Wish International. While that is an incredible result in itself, I must call out the Belgian Grand Prix as a particular highlight. At the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, we passed the magic $1 Million in total donations raised since we started this little adventure.

The momentum has stayed with us and the current donation tally now stands at $1,134,20.00! That's a lot of money and a lot of wishes for Make-A-Wish, so a big thanks again to UBS and for all you who posted a lap during the past five years.

As usual for the new season, our little website will undergo some changes. I'm pretty happy with the look and feel but the internals need a bit of updating so here's your chance to let me know what you'd like to change on the site. Drop me an email and let me know, the whole site is just for our community so we can do whatever we want with it (as long as I can code it that is!), so hit me with all your ideas.

Last but not least, I need to thank a few people for efforts this season. Firstly Tom Graham, our RTT man on the ground who we all hope to see trackside next year, the team at JMI (especially Jess and Lizzie) for dealing with all the legal, merchandising, PR and other complicated stuff, UBS of course for their continued amazing support, and especially each and every one of you who submitted a lap. I hope you enjoyed the site more than you enjoyed each lap!

Well that's about it for 2014. I hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas with your friends and families, thanks again everyone for your support and I guess I will see you all in February at a chilly track in Spain for the start of the 2015 season…
