So we draw the curtain on yet another long and tightly fought RunThatTrack season. Like the seasons before it, 2015 has continued to see our little F1 track running community breaking records and we’re sure this trend will continue into 2016...

Abu Dhabi played host to the (unofficial) Group Run for the year, we had an amazing turnout, with over 270 laps completed and one of the best runs of the year. As it was the season ender, UBS once again organised the annual RunThatTrack Awards Ceremony, and what great way to finish the season it was. UBS have supported RunThatTrack for five seasons now, and each season provide an amazing collection of awards; if you were lucky enough to receive an award I’m sure it will be treasured as one of your favourite F1 memories.

The Awards Ceremony was of course a great way to relax and unwind, but it also a great way to reflect on just what we had achieved during 2015. Collectively, we ran 3746 laps, 19,478km and more importantly raised $221,000 for the Optimus Foundation. Since UBS took our little running website under their wing, UBS have donated $1,358,200 on your behalf, so every lap, every hill and every bit of sweat has been worth it, and I hope that you feel as proud as we do at RTT HQ.

Heading into 2016 we some changes on the horizon, new teams, new tracks and naturally a revamped RunThatTrack. I think we are all pretty happy with the look and feel of the website, so we’ll keep it mush the same for next year and roll out a few new features and improvements. As always, if there’s anything you’d like to see please let us know.

Last but not least, I need to thank a few people for efforts this season. Firstly UBS for their continued amazing support, the team at JMI for dealing with all the legal, PR and other complicated stuff, and especially each and every one of you who submitted a lap. I hope you enjoyed the site more than you enjoyed each lap!

Well that's about it for 2015. I hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas with your friends and families, thanks again everyone for your support and I guess I will see you all in February at a chilly track in Barcelona for the start of the 2016 season…
